Production, and in this case especially final assembly of
traffic vehicles and continuous service and mainte-
nance required for the vehicles in the concerning worksho
ps calls for a number of in-plant devices for trans-
port and elevating mechanisms. Parallel to the development
of traffic vehicles the followinq machine-
technical devices have been designed and continuously deve
loped: THrning platforms, travellinq platforms
lifting-jack plants and wheelset lowering devices
These specially devices are the focal point of our production
in the field of railways engineerinq. Our dec-
ades of experience produce hi-tech complete systems that,
for example, meet the stringent quality do-
mands of the Deutsche Bahn (German Federal Railway).
The indoor traverser of the Deutsche Bahn in the
Opladen plant is used for shunting locomotives with a
load capacity of up to f 501. The low construction height
of the ramp area for climbing caused by the portal con-
struction, make it possible to transport all locomotives
and railway vehicles with various ramp geometries. Due
to the fully automatic control over 4 indicator boards at
each end , the traverser can be positioned to any target
track.
The portal traverser of the Deutsche Bahn AG in the
Munich-Neuaubing plant is capable of traveling 120
m/min which allows for a high cargo-handling rate. It
can be operated from 2 separate driver's cabins as
well as by remote wireless control.
At a wagon building plant in Rheinfelden (Switzerland)
a double-railed traverser for transport of railroad freight
cars and large boiler containers replaces the existing
solution. This traverser has a carrying capacity of 80 1.
She isff m long and fO mwide.
We built a slightly sunk-installation outdoor sliding
platform with housing on an existing track for Siemens
Transportation Systems. It has a carrying capacity of
220 tonnes and a length of 25 m. Rail vehicles with
f000, )435, f542 and f668 mm gauges can be relo-
cated along a track length of and with a travelling
speed of up to 90 m/min. |
